I wandered through night sleeping streets
In haze of swiftly passed years
To my delight they shone for me
And made the darkness disappear
But then a little river rat
Came running 'cross a pile of leaves
And haze of past was blown by that
And happiness was brought with breeze
And somehow darkness felt like home
And night was warm and sky was clear
I saw the tiny stars that shone
And merry rat near river stirred
